Aside from the constant flow of workshops, talks, and other intern resources, there are three main events that are held:
From Courtney Thurston: "Intern Day was an all-day event with a few speakers in the morning, including the CEO Satya Nadella; this was followed by food trucks, lawn games, a beer garden, indoor activities, and a concert."
Intern Day looked very different when internships were remote. Interns were still encouraged to take some of the day off, but replacing the outdoor event was an online pre-recorded livestream with various influencers (e.g. Trevor Noah, Malala Yousafzai, Chance the Rapper, Zach King) making an appearance.
Intern Puzzle Day is a weekend event where teams of interns are presented with various puzzles to solve, with prizes for the quickest teams.
Another puzzle event. When internships were in person, teams travelled around the Puget Sound area to solve puzzles that were more interactive than those from Puzzle Day (source).
