Communicate with your recruiter ASAP ideally just after your mid-point connect if you would like to change teams when you return, ensuring enough time to get things sorted out before the offer is presented, you won’t be able to attempt to change after due to the team budget you offer will come from. Generally, you will be able to more easily move to a team within the same org you interned in. Starting earlier in the summer will help your chances of changing teams, as well as more positions, will be available.
