Gifts have varied between the years, but pre-2019 interns were given expensive hardware during what used to be called the Signature Event. This would usually be a Surface Laptop or an Xbox. A change was implemented in summer 2019 to replace the Sig Event with Intern Day, which effectively removed the flashy intern gifts and replaced them with something humbler.

In the summer of 2020, all interns received a package containing a Microsoft-branded water bottle and sweater. For Intern Day, interns were able to pick between a Microsoft-branded mug, lunch box, or backpack.
